Shots of naked eye astronomy phenomena are found here. Ever since the fizzle of Comet Kohoutek, I have been fascinated with astronomy topics. I live under dark skies so enjoy taking photos of note worthy astronomical happenings and events.

When WWII bombers fly RIGHT OVER YOUR HOUSE, it is just too tempting to pick up the camera. As a pilot and geek electrical engineer, I find artistic value in the navigation aids in modern aviation. VORTAC shots a must.

Agriculture surrounds everyone in Fauquier county, Virginia and surrounding areas. These images highlight the 2014 growing season from herbicide application to harvest. Corn, soybeans and the never ending "cutting" of hay for livestock are key features of Fauquier farming. All images have ample keywords to help find what you are looking for.

An electrical engineer's perspective on the world must include the topic of power transmission. I see beauty in function and the methods used to convey the energy we need from source to us is all too easy to take for granted. Portraits of power poles are a bit dry... I get that. Here they are regardless.

Two sons make sports a natural subject for us. Action shots are the norm, but in here you will also find sportscapes and other "make you think" photos.
